ASCOTEC launches a new additive : ASCONIUM^® 500

We are delighted to share with you the development of our new advanced liquid corrosion inhibitor, the ASCONIUM^® 500.
It helps improve performance while having low use dosage, an easy incorporation and being VOC-free.

 

Usually, solvent-based paints are used for 1 coat DTMs, because in the collective mind, water-based paints are less effective than solvent-based paints. This is not the case concerning ASCONIUM^® 500, a concentrate of technology that makes it possible.

It marks a breakthrough in the coatings industry with regard to anti-corrosion pigments, offering a liquid additive that does not mat paint, increases its adhesion to metal and its performance as a DTM.

Here are the key benefits of ASCONIUM^® 500 :

• Easy to incorporate into water-based coatings (mill-base, let-down or post addition).
• Low use dosage (≈1%)
• VOC free

• Suitable in most binder systems
