Outstanding performance of ASCONIUM® 114 in PUD clear coating
ASCONIUM® Corrosion Inhibitors, as unique proprietary technology, can provide excellent long-term anticorrosion performance to paints and clear coatings. As liquid-type additives, they are easy to incorporate in paint or clear coating.

- Efficient at low dosage: 2,5% and multi metal protection
PUD Clear coating based on ASCONIUM® 114, applied at low DFT, can provide a high protection of cold-rolled steel and galvanized steel for respectively 200 and 650 hours in salt spray chamber.
- Improve adhesion of coating
Adhesion test (ISO 2409) shows a strong adhesion of clear coating to the metal. The test on galvanized steel with ASCONIUM® 114 after 650h in salt spray shows a perfect adhesion with a grade 0 on result.
- Improve film’s water resistance
ASCONIUM® 114 is a hydrophobic corrosion inhibitor and therefore increases the water resistance of the coating.
